If you or someone you love is struggling to recover from anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa or eating disorder not otherwise specified, the Woodstone Residence may be able to help. The Woodstone Residence provides safe, professional, person-centered treatment that aims to engage and foster trusting relationships, develop and enhance resiliency, and support developmentally appropriate levels of independence. Woodstone's program is comprehensive and multidisciplinary, and conforms to the strongest available evidence of best and promising practice for eating disorders intervention.
Care at Woodstone is directed toward young people ages 17 to 24 who are suffering from an eating disorder and who are medically stable but require intensive, structured therapeutic support. Because treatment occurs either before the point at which an eating disorder becomes a medical crisis or after a person's medical status has stabilized, participants are able from the earliest stages of intervention to engage in valuable therapeutic processes that may get to the root of their illness and provide a pathway for meaningful change.
Young people may step up or down to care at Woodstone. They may come following involvement with community-based or outpatient services, which may not meet their needs, or after inpatient hospitalization, to provide an intermediate level of care that allows them to solidify gains made while in hospital, and to plan carefully for their next steps.

The Woodstone Residence offers a therapeutic home-away-from-home where young people and their families may find a community of support. Situated on a beautiful property on Galiano Island, Woodstone's idyllic setting promotes healthy living, connectedness, mindfulness and healing. It supplies an excellent balance between separation from the pressures of urban life and access to a range of important services in nearby, easily accessible centres in the capital region of Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland.
Treatment at Woodstone is holistic, and aimed at helping young people to discover an individualized path to long-term recovery. If you have questions about the program and whether or not it is right for you, please contact us or your health care provider.
