EDAW 2026

Eating Disorders Awareness Week 2026

Eating Disorder Awareness Week (EDAW) runs February 1–7, uniting communities across Canada to raise awareness and drive action on eating disorders.

Eating disorders affect people of all genders, ages, abilities, races, and backgrounds. During EDAW, organizations come together to educate, share supports, and advocate for change.

This year’s theme, Health Doesn’t Have a Look, challenges diet culture and weight stigma while promoting body respect and inclusion.

Developed in collaboration with NEDIC and eating disorder organizations nationwide.

Here are some ways you can get involved in #EDAW2026:

Learning & Support Opportunities

Free Webinar: For Families: A Conversation about Eating Disorders

Tuesday, February 4 from 6:30- 8:00pm PST.
Supporting a child with an eating disorder can feel overwhelming and isolating. Join us for a video presentation and panel discussion featuring expert guidance, lived experience, and our very own RCC Claire Hunter as part of the panel. This session offers practical insights to help families feel more supported and informed.

Resources: Health is more than...

This year’s EDAW campaign invites us to move beyond narrow definitions of health and consider the social, cultural, and environmental factors that shape well-being. By sharing these posts using #EDAW2026, you help amplify the message, challenge harmful beliefs, and spark broader awareness and advocacy. Developed in partnership with the National Eating Disorder Information Centre (NEDIC), the campaign highlights resources available throughout EDAW 2026.
