For those battling eating disorders, the holidays aren’t always joyful.

Full of food-focused events, the most wonderful time of the year for many can cause extreme anxiety and mental distress for others. This winter season, your donation will directly support those seeking immediate eating disorder services, to ensure that they are not alone.

Make A Gift

Did you know? Eating disorders are the third most prevalent mental illness in Canada. Yet, even with such a large percentage the Canadian population in need of immediate treatment, navigating treatment options can be challenging and costly.

69% of our program participants report that they are not receiving any other form of eating disorder support outside of Looking Glass, and 82% of our program participants have experienced some sort of barrier to accessing care.

In 2022, the most prevalent barriers to those seeking eating disorder support were:

– Long Waitlists
– Lack of ED Specialists
– Programs Too Costly/Not Accessible
– Lack of Real Time Support

Looking Glass strives to break down these barriers by providing accessible and inclusive programs and services. With close to 500 individuals actively participating in our programs today, and an average monthly waitlist of 70+ individuals seeking our support, your donation has the power to provide compassionate care to those who have been desperately awaiting it.
