Reflections Scholarships: Celebrating our 2026 Recipients:
Every year, the Reflections Scholarship gives us the opportunity to celebrate something we believe deeply in: the possibility of a future beyond an eating disorder.
Today, we congratulate our 2026 Reflections Scholarship recipients—a remarkable group of students who have been awarded $5,000 for their under graduate education. They have all worked toward recovery while pursuing their education, passions, and dreams for the future.
Their stories remind us that recovery is not linear, and that progress can look different for everyone. For these recipients, their journeys have shaped not only where they are today, but also the people they hope to become and the impact they hope to have on others.
From pursuing environmental science and dietetics to working toward careers in medicine, advocacy, and beyond, each recipient is stepping into a new chapter with purpose, hope, and possibility.
“This scholarship will help me immensely this semester in being able to focus on my academics while relieving the stress of a financial burden. Not only can I spend more time focusing on academia, but also my passions for advocacy and engaging in the community, which is all the more meaningful to me.”
— Ayah, 2026 Reflections Scholarship Recipient
“Receiving this scholarship feels like divine timing—a gentle reminder that I am moving in the right direction. Thank you for believing in my potential and contributing to the person I am becoming. This scholarship reminds me that life will hold both triumph and tribulation, and that the tenacity I carry within me remains present, even when it is difficult to see.”
— Cadence, 2026 Reflections Scholarship Recipient
“After a time when my world felt very small, being outside helped me rediscover joy, challenge myself, and feel connected to something bigger than myself. The Looking Glass Scholarship is helping me step into this next chapter with greater confidence and hope. Thank you for investing not only in my education, but in the person I am becoming.”
— Emerson, 2026 Reflections Scholarship Recipient
“I always say that my counselor carried hope for me when I had little myself. As a volunteer for the Looking Glass Foundation, my intention has been to carry hope for individuals in recovery and a vision of the vibrant life that awaits them on the other side. This scholarship will support me as I continue expanding my understanding of nutrition, people, and the ways we relate to food.”
— Natalie, 2026 Reflections Scholarship Recipient
“Being recognized for my journey and the work it has taken to get here makes me feel truly seen and supported. Receiving this scholarship is a reminder of the strength and resilience I’ve built throughout my recovery, and I know that is something I will carry with me into every chapter of my future. Thank you for this investment in my future.”
— Saana, 2026 Reflections Scholarship Recipient
“To me, this scholarship is a symbol of both where I have been and where I am going. I want to become someone who not only provides medical care, but also makes children feel heard, understood, and safe. The generosity of donors is helping me move closer to that goal and inspiring me to give that same sense of support and hope to others in the future.”
— Vivian, 2026 Reflections Scholarship Recipient
To each of our 2026 recipients: Congratulations! We are so proud to be a small part of your journey and cannot wait to see where this next chapter takes you.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our Reflections Scholarship Matching Donor, the Y.P. Heung Foundation. As well, to the funders of the Elise Skoglund Bursary. Your generosity does more than help with the cost of education. It tells recipients that their hard work is seen; their futures matter, and they are worthy of being supported as they pursue what comes next.
The next Reflections Scholarship application period will open in Spring 2027. If you applied in a previous year and were not selected, we encourage you to apply again.
